Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and closely collaborating with other departments in the business, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans and campaigns to ensure consistency in our brand and value proposition to grow football in Western Australia. This role also assists the Partnerships Manager in supporting our commercial partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Communications Officer to manage social media accounts and create engaging content that promotes the Football West programs, competitions and initiatives as well as Football West partner-related initiatives;
  • Develop, manage, and implement digital campaigns, including the launch of the new 5-a-side competition at the Sam Kerr Football Centre;
  • Manage and maintain the company website, ensuring that it is up-to-date, engaging, and optimised for search engines;
  • Create newsletters and email marketing campaigns to drive engagement with the WA football community;
  • Design and create graphics, publications and collateral using in-house graphic design software to a standard that meets Football West’s brand and style guide;
  • Develop creative briefs for Football West and/or Partner’s campaigns and coordinate with external designers and agencies to execute specific design projects;
  • Serve as the main point of contact for broadcast elements, advertising, and data related to our streamed leagues;
  • Manage and maintain Football West and Partners' marketing property assets, including branded materials and signage;
  • Work closely with the Events Lead to ensure all Football West and Partner's signage is correctly displayed on events and competitions.

About You:

  • Tertiary qualified in marketing, communications, or related field;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role;
  • Experience using Canva to create in house and social media graphics, and proficiency in Photoshop, InDesign, and basic HTML will be highly regarded.
  • Sound understanding of marketing principals and development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies;
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with the ability to take initiative and make tangible change to business performance;
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, presentation, and organisation;
  • High level of detail, creativity, flexibility, time management, and accuracy;
  • Results driven and constantly analysing, measuring, and improving;
  • Ability to work autonomously, strong problem-solving skills, ability to efficiently manage workload, adapt and meet deadlines;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor with an ability to foster trusting relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Passion or a genuine interest in football or sports is desirable.
