Tribute to Football West Life Member John Talbert

Football West would like to pay tribute to Life Member John Talbert, who died this week.

John was a key driver in the establishment of the Peel Regional Football Council on which he enjoyed a spell as president.

John was a great supporter of football in the region, as well as a long-standing member of the Football West Junior Standing Committee.

Football West CEO Jamie Harnwell said: “On behalf of Football West, I would like to pass on my condolences to John’s family and friends.

“He was a great friend of Football West and a real asset for football, both in Peel and the wider area, and a particular advocate for young players.

“He also had a great sense of humour and it was always fun to be in his company.”
