Football West held its 2022 Hyundai NTC Presentation Night to acknowledge the achievements of players and coaches from the four teams in the National Training Centre for Girls program.

The celebration took place at the Morley City Hyundai showroom, with the Under 13s, U14s, U15s and U19s all recognised.

WA Minister for Sport and Recreation David Templeman, Hyundai Australia Regional General Manager Michael Beros and Football West Director Amy Johnson all spoke on the night.

The Hyundai NTC Community Football Award winners were Ella Lange (U13s), Ella Marwick (U14s), Mia Britton (U15s) and Natalia Vega Mena (U19s).

There was also a Hyundai prize draw on the evening. Hyundai NTC U19s NPLWA – Women’s goalkeeper Lilly Bailey won two VIP tickets in the Hyundai Suite at the RAC Arena to see English R&B artist Dua Lipa in November.

Hyundai also gave away other three door prizes and a prize for a selfie competition.

Football West CEO Jamie Harnwell said: “We greatly appreciate Hyundai’s fantastic support for the NTC program, and grassroots football in general.

“The annual Presentation Night is a great opportunity for players, coaches and parents to come together and celebrate the season just gone, and to reflect on the progress their girls have made.

“Over the past few months, we have seen past and present NTC players called into Australia representative squads and camps, such as Hana Lowry and Miranda Templeman with the Young Matildas, Georgia Cassidy and Zara Board with the Junior Matildas, plus Lilly Bailey who made a Junior Matildas camp.

“These girls are terrific examples of where talent, hard work and dedication can take you, and we want to see more and more players follow their lead, especially with the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup less than a year away.

“The NTC have also been successful on the pitch, with the Under 15s winning the NPLW U21 league title, Top Four Cup and Night Series, while the 19s made the Top Four Cup final for the first time.

“So congratulations to all for another outstanding year and we are already looking forward to 2023.”

Mr Beros said: "Football in WA is amazing, as it helps to unite Western Australian communities across such socially, geographically and demographically diverse landscapes.

"At Hyundai we just love supporting all things women's football in WA, and we especially love our involvement with the Hyundai NTC. We started this partnership back in 2019 and it’s been an absolute joy watching the progress and the status of the NTC grow from strength to strength."

Details of the 2023 Hyundai NTC trials will be released soon.
