The Gold Fields WA State U14s and U16s have just missed out on the semi-finals at the National Youth Championships for Girls despite both sides enjoying victories on Day Three.

Xuri Dalton, Theodora Mouithys and Macey McCready were the scorers for the U14s in their 3-0 victory against Tasmania.

The U16s beat Queensland White 2-1, Mia Britton and Nelli Johnson the scorers. They then overcame Victoria White 2-0 with goals from Emily Garnett and Ischia Brooking.

Yet despite the successes, neither side was able to squeeze into the last four. Instead, the U14s semi-finals will see NSW Metro face Victoria while Queensland take on Capital Football. In the U16s semi-finals, Queensland Maroon play NSW Metro and Victoria Blue are up against NSW Country.

In Thursday’s crossover games, the WA U14s will meet Tasmania and the U16s will take on Queensland White.
