FREE All-Female Foundation of Football coaching course

Football West is excited to offer a FREE All-Female Foundation of Football course to new coaches.

The course will be presented by Football Australia Coach Education Instructor Faye Chambers and will be funded by the Female Community Legacy program.

The course, which will be held over two nights, is aimed at the following:

• Girls and women embarking on their coaching journey
• Mums and other female volunteer coaches who are frequently called upon to guide young players in grassroots football

The Foundation of Football course aims to equip new and rookie female coaches with essential skills for creating a safe and positive learning environment for players mainly aged 5-11.

It also offers guidance on conducting engaging training sessions and covers aspects of the game such as playing formats and fundamental skills like dribbling, passing, receiving, and finishing. However, the primary emphasis is on coaching methods that foster an appropriate learning environment.

The course is open to 24 people and will take place at the Sam Kerr Football Centre, Queens Park, on Mondays 8 and 15 April.

All participants must register and pay the $100 fee for the course. They will be reimbursed in full on completion of the course. Registration details below.

Cost: $100 which will be reimbursed on completion of the course.

Football Australia has recently moved learning platforms to etrainu. If this is your first time accessing the platform, you will need to complete a couple of steps.

1. Use the link here to create a Play Football account and to register the person who will be completing the course. 

2. After completing Step 1, you will need to wait 3-4 hours before being able to use the etrainu link here below to access the new learning platform. Please ensure you log in as a 'Football Australia Learner'.
