Football Futures Foundation launches program for players with intellectual disabilities

Football Futures Foundation has launched a program for players with intellectual disabilities with a view to representing Western Australia.

The program will be open to talented players who are currently looking for competition.

From the pool of players attending the program, 10 will be chosen to form a State team.  

Requirements

Players are expected to display good attendance, attitude, behaviour and commitment. 

They will need to apply for an ID Card as proof of their intellectual disability. The ID card is issued by Sport Inclusion Australia - contact Art Hiemstra to obtain documentation. Players can still train while awaiting their card.

Details

Training will start this Sunday and take place fortnightly at the following time and venue:

When: Sunday, 13 August 2023 then every two weeks thereafter

Time: 1.30pm

Venue: Cockburn City SC, Beale Park, Spearwood
