Coaches wanted for Football West Academy

Football West is seeking two qualified coaches to work within the new Football West Academy.

The coaches will hold a minimum of a C Diploma (formerly C Licence), as well as a Working With Children Check.

The positions are casual, part-time, starting on 20 February 2024, and working each Wednesday between 4.30-8pm (3.5 hours) at Beale Park, Spearwood.

Football West is also seeking a qualified goalkeeper coach.

The coach will hold a Goalkeeper Level One certificate, as well as a Working With Children Check.

This is also a casual, part-time position, starting on 17 February 2024, and working each Saturday between 8-11.30am at Gibbney Reserve, Maylands.

The rates for all positions will depend on qualifications and experience.

Football West Academy

The Football West Academy is driven by a passion for nurturing young football talent and a commitment to developing the next generation of footballers in Western Australia.

Our vision is to create a nurturing environment where young athletes can grow both as players and individuals, guided by our core values of mutual respect, fair play, and excellence. Our goal is to not only produce skilled footballers but also well-rounded individuals who contribute positively to society.

Coaches will work with players aged 9 to 16. They will deliver 2 x 75-minute sessions with a 15-minute break between. The focus will be on technical development in a fun and inclusive environment. All equipment and apparel will be provided. Coaches will have 30 minutes to set up before starting and 15 minutes at the end to pack away. Football West runs many programs, and successful candidates will have the opportunity to work more hours if desired.
