Floreat Athena have joined Inglewood United as WA's representatives in the Australia Cup national Round of 32 after they won their preliminary semi-final tonight.
All the goals came in the first half as a double from Phil Arnold, either side of Jesse Lazzaro's deflected equaliser, gave Athena a 2-1 win over Cockburn City at Dalmatinac Park.
This is the fourth occasion Floreat have reached the national stage of the competition, while Inglewood booked their place in the Round of 32 for the first time with a 3-0 win over Sorrento FC last night.
Floreat and Inglewood will also meet in the WA State Cup final in September.
- The Australia Cup 2023 Round of 32 draw will be conducted on Wednesday 28 June at 5pm WST and streamed live on 10 Play plus streamed via official Australia Cup Facebook and Football Australia YouTube accounts.
The Round of 32 games will be played in early August.
