2024 Men's State League Night Series begins this weekend

It’s the turn of the Men’s State League Night Series this weekend with 12 games across six groups.

Sorrento FC, relegated from the NPL last year, get Group A up and running on Saturday when they host second division Swan United at Percy Doyle Reserve (5pm). This is followed by State League newcomers East Perth against Murdoch University Melville (7pm).

Cockburn City, another side who lost their NPL status last season, are also on hosting duty this Saturday with two Group C fixtures at Dalmatinac Park. First, Gosnells City meet Balga at 5pm, then it’s the Cockerels against Carramar Shamrock Rovers (7pm).

On the same night at Wanneroo City in Group D, Joondalup City take on Subiaco (5pm) before Wanneroo meet Dianella White Eagles (7pm).

The remaining Round One matches are scheduled for Sunday.

Group B’s games are at Ashfield’s Paintseal Arena, where Joondalup United face Forrestfield United (5pm) then Ashfield go up against Kingsley Westside, who are now in Division One (7pm).

The Group E games are at Poolmart Mandurah Stadium, home of State League Night Series holders Mandurah City. The Dolphins begin against Kalamunda City (7pm), which follows the Rockingham City-Canning City clash (5pm).

Finally in Group F, Gwelup Croatia meet Curtin University (5pm) while Quinns meet UWA Nedlands (7pm). Both of these matches are back at Percy Doyle Reserve.

The group stage of State League Night Series is played over three rounds and the six group winners and two best runners-up will advance to the quarter-finals, which will take place at Wanneroo City and Ashfield on Friday 23 February.
