2023 National Youth Championships for Girls: WA U14s on fire

The Gold Fields WA State Girls U14s turned around their fortunes in style at the National Youth Championships today.

After a slow start to the week in NSW, Courtney Owen’s side hit top form on day three, recording two wins from their two games.

They began with a 4-1 win over Queensland Maroon thanks to goals from Hyundai NTC duo Theodora Mouithys (2) and Mabel Wilkinson, as well as MUM FC’s Jessica Johnson.

They followed this up with an impressive 3-0 win against South Australia, with Johnson again on target along with NTC’s Olivia Speakes and Mia Boudames.

There was less to celebrate for the Gold Fields WA State Girls U16s, who were overwhelmed 8-0 by Victoria as Danella Butrus netted five times.
