In their first fixture of the day, they went down 3-1 to Victoria. Ella Lange (Hyundai NTC) scored for WA.

Then they lost 2-1 to Northern NSW despite NTC player Mabel Wilkinson’s second goal of the tournament.

The U14s go in search of their first point of the 2023 championships on Wednesday against Queensland Maroon (7.05pm) and South Australia (2.40pm).

Meanwhile, the Gold Fields WA State Girls U16s were unable to build on the opening-day win as they recorded a loss and a draw on Tuesday.

A strong NSW Metro defeated WA 3-0 first up at JJ Kelly Park.

Then the West Aussies drew 2-2 with Queensland Silver, with goals from MUM FC’s Clara Hoarau and NTC’s day one hat-trick hero Emily Garnett.

WA face Victoria on Wednesday (11.25am WST).
