The second day of the FFA National Futsal Championships in Canberra saw the Gold Fields Men’s State U19s record their first win of the week.

Ezekiel McPherson scored two as the Blacks Swans downed Football Queensland Metro 3-2 on Tuesday.

The Boys U12 Black Swans were again among the goals as they overcame Football South Australia Blue 4-3.

DAY ONE WRAP

Luka Beretovac recorded his second brace of the week, while Luca Schuetz also scored twice.

Unfortunately WA’s other Boys U12 side in the tournament, the Gold Swans, lost 10-1 to Football West NSW Metro Thunder.

The Boys U13s went down 4-1 to Football West NSW Metro Lightning, while the Boys U15s lost 5-3 against Football SA.

The Boys U14s had a bye on Tuesday, while the Boys U16s had two matches.

They lost the opener 2-0 to Football SA but recovered to defeat Capital Football 3-1, James Toth grabbing a double.

The Girls U13s were beaten 15-0 by NSW Metro while the Girls U15s went down 9-2 to Football NSW Metro Lightning and 3-2 to Football Queensland Metro.

Mining giant Gold Fields is the name sponsor of all of Football West’s State teams.
