Forrestfield United left it late before grabbing a 1-0 win over Canning City to secure their spot in the last eight. Alex McLean scored the only goal five minutes from time.

The result at Crazy Domains Stadium secured second spot for United in Group A and a place in the last eight as one of the two best runners-up. Murdoch University Melville ended the group stage with a 100% record following a 5-0 defeat of Gosnells City on the back of Ben Pellizzari's hat-trick.

Olympic Kingsway got top spot in Group E and a place in the last eight after an entertaining 3-3 draw with Joondalup City, for whom Jack Reilly bagged a hat-trick at Wanneroo including two penalties. Subiaco beat Balga 3-0 to take second place and a spot in the last eight as the other best runner-up.

With Western Knights already assured of winning Group D, it was all about who could take second spot when Fremantle City faced Morley Windmills at Crazy Domains Stadium. The honours went to Freo, who ran out 4-2 winners with Hamza Hina getting three, however they missed out on the quarter-finals on goal difference.

Top spot had also already been wrapped up in Group C with Curtin University out of reach. But they head into the quarter-finals on the back of a loss after going down 3-0 to Mandurah City at Hay Park, Joe O'Brien scoring two for City. South West Phoenix and Rockingham City were both out of contention but they still served up a treat, with a late Harry Bolan goal giving Rockingham a 4-3 win.

Dianella White Eagles' dominance of Group F was complete as they defeated UWA Nedlands 4-0 at Frank Drago Reserve. Dianella eased into the quarter-finals with a 100% record as striker Luke Salmon scored two to make it seven goals in three games. In the other game, Carramar Shamrock Rovers beat Ashfield 1-0.

Quinns also qualified for the last eight after they came from behind at the break to defeat Joondalup United 2-1 and finish top of Group B. Gareth Hamilton scored the second-half winner. Kingsley Westside ended their Night Series campaign with 4-2 win over hosts Wanneroo City.
