Football West signs technology deal with Computing Australia Group

Football West is pleased to announce a two-year partnership with Computing Australia Group.

Football West’s preferred technology partner, Computing Australia Group is a Perth-based managed IT service provider which delivers quality IT services and drives West Australian businesses forward.

The partnership will focus on providing technology and grant assistance support to the football community through the Building Stronger Clubs program and community activations.

The Building Stronger Clubs program aims to support clubs off the pitch to ensure maximum performance on the field. Strengthening facilities, governance, social practices, technology systems and finance will ensure clubs can improve.

As Football West’s preferred technology partner, Computing Australia Group will make expert support more accessible to Football West clubs, improving their technology systems and finding innovative solutions to maximise engagement with current and potential members.

Computing Australia Group has extensive experience in grant application processes and can provide support and services to clubs to secure grants. As seen in the last round of the Building Stronger Clubs program, clubs were able to use expert consultants to apply for grants to conduct major facility upgrades.

Computing Australia Group CEO Daniel Hutchinson said: “The team at CAG is thrilled to build on our long-standing relationship with the team at Football West and now the broader football community through this exciting initiative.”

Computing Australia Group Business Manager Chris Karapetcoff added: “Like Football West, we are totally invested in the Building Stronger Clubs program and I look forward to meeting and working with the many wonderful people involved in football in Western Australia.”

Building Stronger Clubs was launched in 2020 and is a program Football West will continue throughout 2021 and beyond.

Providing direct expert support to the football community, in particular clubs, will bring significant enhancement in web presence which will lead to greater engagement with members and assist with retention of members.

Football West CEO James Curtis said the partnership provided further support to WA clubs.

“The importance of maximising digital engagement with the football community is becoming more important every year," he said.

“With Football West and its clubs reaching over 25m people digitally in 2020, we know that this partnership provides a great opportunity for clubs to enhance and increase their membership base.

“Football West is excited to partner with Computing Australia Group for the next two years and provide accessible expert services to Western Australian football clubs.
