Football West and the DT38 Australia charity have teamed up again to offer players a free screening for testicular cancer.
And the Football West club which sends the most players along to be screened will be rewarded with a bag of 38 footballs.
The screenings are courtesy of Ultrasound Services in Perth, who kindly offer free screenings twice a year for males aged 15-45.
The free screening is on Saturday, August 24.
Football West Competitions Manager Trent Barron urged all clubs to encourage their players to take up the offer.
“This is an extremely generous offer and one we want to get as many of our players as possible to take up,” he said.
“We would like to thank DT38 Australia and Ultrasound Services. Everyone in the age bracket is potentially at risk and so we can’t stress how important this is.”
Football West held its first DT38 Round in the National Premier Leagues WA earlier this season.
The DT38 Australia charity is in honour of former WA footballer Dylan Tombides, who died of testicular cancer in 2014, aged 20.
