The new site means we can develop a database of players and volunteers and can then communicate and promote with them directly via email. The new site also allows members to make online payments. This reduces the need to handle money such as match fees for our social programmes. It also means we can have pre-registration for our social programmes so that we can control numbers and trace who has attended. The BSA is looking at a big financial loss in 2020 and has paid for the website out of its reserve funds. This money will help to replace this and ensure our long-term viability. The new site makes it easier to promote the association to stakeholders, volunteers and new players.
