Wembley Downs are also two from two after they repeated their Night Series final success over Jaguar FC with a 2-0 win at Herb Graham Recreation Centre. And it was the two players who scored in the final earlier this month that were on target, Noah Thavaseelan grabbing the opener and Halil Russo settling the issue late on.

The one other unbeaten team are Kelmscott Roos, who sit fourth following their 2-2 draw at South Perth United. Wellington Muvunduke put South Perth ahead, Isaac Koomson and Amos Doegolia Jnr then turned it in Roos’ favour, only for an own goal by Benn Lewis to give United a point.

In the game between two sides new to the Premier Division, it was Maccabi who prevailed 2-1 over Morley Windmills. Aamon Zothner scored the opening goal for Maccabi, who were promoted from Division One last year. Morley, who dropped down from the State League, levelled with 20 minutes left thanks to Gavin Knight’s penalty, only for Dion Berman to win it for Maccabi, also from the penalty spot.

Finally, Peel United are off the mark thanks to their 4-0 win over Kingsley Westside at Bortolo Park. Mitchell Kelman got two for Peel, with Joshua Dillon and Josh Crooks the other scorers.
