Wanted: Hyundai NTC U18s assistant coach

Football West is looking for an assistant coach for its Hyundai NTC U18s team.

The National Training Centre (NTC) for Girls is the Elite Development Pathway in WA and is a player-centred program established by Football Australia in conjunction with Football West to assist the most potentially
talented young female players with their football development as potential prospects for the
National Youth Team.

As an assistant coach you will be responsible for supporting the Head Coach in player development,
program delivery and talent identification.

The assistant coaching position is a part time fixed term position, with an average of six working hours
a week from January 2022 to 30 October 2022.

Training evenings are Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday while games are usually held Sunday afternoons.

The successful candidate would need to be available during this time period.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about growing female football talent and improving the quality of female football
  • in WA
  • Have a C Licence (or be enrolled for it)
  • Have experience working with talented players and junior age groups
  • Have a strong working knowledge of the FA National Curriculum
  • Have the ability to plan and deliver effective training sessions
  • Possess good communication skills

Prerequisites

A person must be eligible to work in Australia in order to be employed by Football West and must
also provide:

  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • A current First Aid certificate
  • A current Working with Children check
