Leaders Maddington hit eight

Maddington White City continued their impressive start to the season in the Belt Up Amateur Premier Division with an 8-1 thrashing of Hamersley Rovers at Carine Open Space.

City, who led 5-1 at half-time, have won their opening three games and sit three points clear of five teams.

Jose Zuniga and Samir Ramos scored two apiece, with Salvador Chavez, Gaston Bazet, Nicolas Pardo and Yohann Crampon also on target.

Elsewhere, South West Phoenix were too good for Wembley Downs, winning 4-0 in Bunbury. Corey Barclay, Lydon Hodgkiss, Andrew Blunden and Lee Stewart scored the goals.

Jaguar FC recovered from being 2-0 down at Joondalup United to win 3-2. An Adam Gianassi double had United well placed, before Jaguar pulled one back before the break. Then the visitors struck twice late on through Conor O'Driscoll and Akuei Guot to take the points.

UWA Nedlands won 2-1 at Queens Park, while Leeming Strikers had a similar victory at Quinns thanks to Kieran Witt’s second of the game five minutes from time.

In the other game, Sean Troup got two and Jake Marshall the other as Kwinana United defeated 2020 champions North Perth United 3-0.
