Five-goal Keogh sinks Port

Jayde Keogh scored five goals as Sorrento beat Port Kennedy 7-0 in the second round of the Women’s State League first division.

Keogh had four by half-time, with her fifth sandwiched between strikes from Lisa Cunningham and Jodie Brough.

A double from Daisy Spill wasn’t enough for Perth AFC as they went down 3-2 at Gwelup Croatia. Ieesha Caton, Lucy Bricklebank and Ana Denona scored for Gwelup.

Emily Hughes got the only goal in Stirling Macedonia’s 1-0 win over Armadale, while Rebecca Dudek and Emily Dinsdale were on target for UWA Nedlands as they beat ECU Joondalup 2-1. Faye Phillips scored for the Jacks.

There was better news for ECU in the Women’s Amateur League, with Nadia Godley scoring a hat-trick in their 5-0 victory at Perth AFC.

League leaders Fremantle City (Black) won 3-1 at Northern Redbacks, Alice Vandermeiren getting two.

Danielle Bastick hit the winner for Curtin University in their 2-1 defeat of UWA Nedlands, Hamersley Rovers beat Forrestfield United 2-0, while Balga and Fremantle City (Maroon) finished scoreless.
