Coaching CPD points on offer - subscribe now

Football West is offering coaches unlimited access to the latest online courses, tutorials and training methods, as well as the opportunity to earn valuable Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points.

Football West last year introduced its Digital Education Platform, which for an annual subscription of just $50 provides all coaches with online courses and new content every month, delivered by some of the best in the game, along with a personalised learning experience.

Now Football Australia has allocated CPD points to the following courses which will contribute to keeping your advanced accreditation validated:

DECISION MAKING IN FOOTBALL – 15 CPD points

This course looks at the underpinning science behind decision-making and help coaches understand how they can develop players to make better decisions on the football pitch. The course boasts multiple video and coaching session designs that can be adapted and utilised within the coaches’ coaching session.

The Decision Making in Football course on the Football West Digital Learning Platform is a three-hour online that can be completed at your own pace. 

How to get your CPD points

To be eligible to claim the 15 points, follow the instructions:

Step Two
Register for the course HERE

Step Three
Complete all tasks in the editable downloadable Course Workbook (which you will find once you log in) and email to gareth.naven@footballwest.com.au. There are also several quizzes that must be answered during the course.

INDIVIDUAL PLAYER DEVELOPMENT – 10 CPD points

This course focuses on knowledge around profiling to support coaches through the Individual Player Development process with players. It enables coaches to become more effective in designing and delivering more player-centered sessions.

The Individual Player Development course on the Football West Digital Learning Platform is a three-hour online course that can be completed at your own pace.

To be eligible to claim the 10 points, follow the instructions:

Step Two
Register for the course HERE

Step Three
Complete the Player Self-Review form with one of your players, as well as the Goal Setting form. Once completed, email the two forms to gareth.naven@footballwest.com.au (all forms can be downloaded once you are registered on the Football West Digital Learning Platform).
