Day Three, Four: FFA National Futsal Championships

The Gold Fields State Men’s U19s are one match from the grand final at the FFA National Futsal Championships in Canberra.

The Black Swans secured their place in the last eight with a 6-1 defeat of Football NSW Country on Wednesday, Ezekiel McPherson scoring a hat-trick.

And in their Elimination Final against Football Queensland Metro on Thursday morning, the West Aussies won 2-1 with goals from Joshua Ban and Justin Tang Yan.

DAY TWO WRAP

The U19s take on Football NSW Metro Lightning at noon on Thursday (WST) for a place in Friday’s grand final against Football NSW Metro Thunder.

The second WA team to reach the quarter-finals, the Boys U12 Black Swans, went down 5-3 to Football SA Red on Thursday morning.

The West Aussies improved as the game went on but were unable to recover from a 3-0 half-time deficit.

The U12s had booked their spot in the last eight with a 6-4 win over Football NSW Country on Wednesday.

The Girls U13s lost their Qualifying Final to Football NSW Metro Storm 9-2 on Thursday.
