Dorrien Gardens to host cup final weekend

Dorrien Gardens will host a bumper weekend of football next month with ELEVEN cup finals over three days.

The action at the home of Perth SC will take place over the weekend of 9-11 October.

On Friday, the Men’s Division Two Reserves and first team finals will be held.

The Saturday will see the finals for the Men’s Division Two 18s, plus Division One 18s, Reserves and first team.

Then on Sunday, 11 October, it is the turn of Men’s NPL 18s, 20s and first team, plus Women’s 23s and first team.

With the Men’s first team competitions split into a top six and bottom six, qualification for the end-of-season cup is different than in previous years. The first three in the top six will be joined by the side which finishes first in the bottom six.

The Men’s Reserves and 18s and Women’s NPL and 23s will in the traditional Top Four Cup format.

Football West Community Participation Lead – Elite Alex Novatsis said: “Thanks to all the clubs who requested to host the Cup Final weekend and congratulations to Perth SC.

“This will be a huge occasion, the first of its kind, and we are anticipating a really large turnout and some quality football over the weekend.”
