2020 Female Football Week National Community Awards

Nominations are open for the 2020 rebel Female Football Week National Community Awards – and we want you to get involved.

The awards acknowledge the important role women play in developing football in Australia.

Nominations are now open for the following categories:

• Community Female Player of the Year

• Community Female Coach of the Year

• Female Administrator of the Year

• Female Referee of the Year

• Male Champion of the Year (who has significantly contributed to the development of female football)

Nominations close on 11 February. A Football West panel will select one winner in each category with the winners announced the week leading up to Female Football Week, which actually runs for nine days – March 14-22.

Two winners in WA’s 2019 awards were recognised nationally at the FFA’s rebel Female Football awards breakfast in Sydney.

The ceremony, held annually on International Women’s Day, celebrates achievement in women’s football from national through to grassroots level.

Bethwyn Wyatt, of Abrolhos FC in the Mid West, was named Community Female Administrator of the Year while Shane Cole, from Collie Power, won the Community Male Champion award.
