QBE Country Week

QBE Country Week is held annually in the September/October school holidays and attracts over 1,000 players, coaches, volunteers and spectators for a week long football extravaganza.

The tournament is specifically designed for the regional areas and has three key objectives:

  • Regional Championships
  • Talent ID of players
  • Coach Education

Football West will implement Regional Selectors for each age group, who will be responsible (in conjunction with the Regional Associations) for the identification of players within that age group.

At Country Week players will be selected to join the Regional Centre Academy Program (if applicable) and to attend QBE Country Camp which is traditionally held in the April school holidays which will enable identified players to continue to receive hands on specialist training.
