Football West has partnered with Football Federation Australia to launch a pilot project aimed at improving coaching experiences through the appointment of Club Coach Coordinators.

Research shows that players stay involved in the game for longer when they have experienced a positive coaching environment.

FFA and Football West believe a more informal approach to coach development and face-to-face support throughout the season will assist in improving the environment.

A Club Coach Coordinator will monitor and mentor other coaches within a particular club to ensure they conduct appropriate and high quality football activities to enhance player and coach experiences.

The Club Coach Coordinator will assist in ensuring sessions are safe, inclusive, organised, enjoyable and engaging.

A workshop explaining more about the Club Coach Coordinator role and its benefits will be conducted at Gibbney Reserve, Ferguson St, Maylands, on Friday, January 29, from 6-9pm.
