UPDATE: WA’s U12 and U13 teams completed a tough week at the National Futsal Championships in Sydney yesterday.

The U12 Black Swans scored their first win with a 6-2 triumph over Victoria Rangers, while the U13 team’s 2-2 draw with Rangers earlier in the week earned them a place in the quarter-finals. Unfortunately, they were soundly beaten by Victoria Magic.

Head Coach Garry Church was full of praise for the players, who learnt a great deal from the experience.

“We were up against some very good teams but our players never lost focus,” Church said. “The scores didn’t really reflect the effort and performances of the WA teams and the players should be proud of how they handled the week.”
