Program Description
The Football West National Training Centre (NTC) Program offers up to 20 full time scholarships for boys with each player receiving a tailor made holistic training and development program designed to develop the players technically, tactically, physiologically, psychologically to play the game at the highest level.
As a part of the scholarship, each player will receive fully planned personalised training program including world's best practice coaching sessions, personalized weight training program and technical, tactical, mental and physical training programs all tailor made for each player's individual developmental needs. The scholarship holders will also receive a gymnasium membership, nutritional guidance, information on sports psychology, hydration and self massage and much more.
The NTC program will also offer up to 12 Associate Scholarships which will provide an opportunity for other identified and talented players to train within the program in close consultation with their club.
The Associate Scholarships are designed to allow Football West to continue the development of players who have the potential to play at a higher level but are not selected in the NTC squads. This may include late developers, older players who may be prospective AIS or young Socceroo players and the identified players who do not meet the specific age targets of the program.
The Associate Scholarships are designed to be fluid, allowing players to continue to train with their clubs and continuing to bring different players in and out of the program. This will also act as an important tool in identifying potential NTC full scholarship candidates.
The NTC Program also provides two Referee Development Scholarships designed to develop the talented referees within the state. The selected Referees will receive all the benefits of a full time NTC Scholarship and will work closely with the NTC squads. This is a first for any high performance program in the country.
