High Performance Centre
All current HPC players will receive their Term 4 evaluations by COB Tuesday 18 October. All players from the recent trial process (current players and new trialists) will receive notification if they are successful or unsuccessful by COB Wednesday 19 October. All correspondence will be via email.
The High Performance Centre (HPC) identifies talented football players and is intended to form part of a uniform FFA talent identification structure starting from under nine through to National Championship age groups. This is in order to deliver a soundly based, consistent and coordinated program with technical content for talented player development being provided by the FFA National Curriculum.
The HPC (formerly the Football West Academy) has been structured to provide an all-inclusive year round program intended to complement, rather than compete with, local in-season club training and games.
Education and Development Manager, Andrew Bettell is pleased with how the new HPC is progressing.
"Football West is privileged to be the guardians of the FFA Player Pathway in Western Australia and the successes in moving players towards National Representation over recent year's shows that we are taking our responsibilities seriously. Warren and the team have done very well over the immediate past and as the quality of HP Programs continues to improve."
Where the High Performance Centre does not guarantee State or NTC selection, the technical content delivered provides all athletes with a solid foundation in their football development.
Calendars for the complete 2011/12 season will posted on the web site very soon, with the first sessions commencing on the 26th October ( 9's / 10's ), and 29th October ( all other age groups ).
