Purpose:
The Women’s Standing Committee is to advise the Directors and  Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on matters relating to women’s football. The Directors or Chief Executive Officer may refer any matter relating to women’s football to the Women’s Standing Committee for advice.
The Women’s Standing Committee may give any advice requested of it, and may (whether or not requested to do so) make recommendations to the Directors and Chief Executive Officer on:

(a)  measures to promote, develop and improve women’s football in the State;
(b)  measures to identify, and promote the development of, talented women football players in the State;
(c)  consistency of application of rules, programs and structures, and equality of opportunity, for women in football;
(d)  any other matter relating to women’s football.

Most recent meeting
The committee meets on an as required basis.  At its most recent meeting on 16th July 2008, the standing committee was joined by representatives from two clubs and discussed the following matters:

League Structure: Premier and Reserves competition proposed in 2009
Mobility Clauses: Will become void in 2009 due to new competition structure
Promotion and Relegation: 1 up and down in the Amateurs and 2 up and down in the Social
Night Series: Only one Night Series competition will be run in 2009.
Fixturing: Proposal to change state representation postponement rules from 4 to 3 players
South West Phoenix is considering entering a team in the metro league in 2009
