Club Player Development programs are set by the local Club and delivered through club coaches.
Clubs are vital to the development of young players as they:

  • Provide the opportunities for the vast majority (certainly well over 90%) of our players to play and enjoy Football no matter what their playing ability.
  • Are the nurturing centres for the players who have both the ability and the desire to play the game at the highest level (fewer than 10%).

Football West will work with Clubs and coaches to enable all club players to have exposure to programs which are sequential in nature, provide a solid basic game education and allow all to progress to their level of ability and aspiration.

The below outlines the coach development resources selected to assist club coaches in providing sequential player development. All resources are available from the Football West office.
