There are a total of seven Standing Committees established under Clause 3.6 of the Football West Constitution:

  • Referees’ Standing Committee; 
  • Coaches’ Standing Committee; 
  • Women’s Standing Committee; 
  • Futsal Standing Committee; 
  • Juniors’ Standing Committee; 
  • Men’s State League Standing Committee; and 
  • Men's Social, Amateur and Masters' Standing Committee.
A Standing Committee is made up of a representative from each of the ten Zones.  Each Committee must have a minimum of six members. For further information in regards to the respective Standing Committees please contact (08) 9422 6900 or email .


The purpose of Standing Committees is to advise and make recommendations to the Directors and Chief Executive Officer on matters related to their specific area of the game, in particular (but not limited to);

  •  Measures to promote, develop and improve the game in W.A. 
  • Measures to identify and promote the development of talented players 
  • Consistency of application of rules, programs and structures. 
  • Any other matter relating to the game
Since the inception of Football West in 2004, Interim Standing Committees served the respective interest groups within the sport.  In November 2006 elections were held to establish formal Standing Committees.
