Football West has developed the Academy program which will cater for aspiring talented players across the State.
In the Metro Districts players will be nominated by Clubs and/or Football West and will then be selected to participate in this program. In Regional Districts players will be selected from Country Week in conjunction with their Regional Associations. Football West will also be selecting the State and Development teams from this program.
The program is available to the following age groups:
| Metro Districts | Regional Centres | Boys: u11, u12, u13s, u14s, u15s
Girls: u12, u14s, u16s, u18s | Boys/Girls: 12 – 16 ( structure varies from region to region) |
Note: In some age groups the Metro districts will be consolidated until sustainable player depth is achieved.
The Academy program is an annual program commencing each October and consists of the following:
