Governing body Football West have begun to shortlist suitable candidates for the position of WA State Amateur team coach after calling for applications three weeks ago.
With the deadline having closed on Friday the 8th August, Football West had received nine applications from prospective coaches wanting to become the new WA State Amateur coach.
Football West Education and Development Manager Andrew Bettell met with Football West CEO Garry Chandler, board member Rob McKay and amateur standing committee chairman Dave Green this morning to shortlist four names to proceed to the interview stage.
Andrew Bettell was satisfied with the quality of coaches who applied for the position.
"We had nine applications come through, all of whom had differing levels of qualifications and experience."
"The four we have chosen to interview were the most outstanding of the nine applicants and I am sure whoever ends up with the job, will do Western Australia and the game proud" he said.
Football West will soon begin the process of interviewing the shortlisted candidates and a decision on the top job will be made in due course. |
