Mark Schwarzer the Australian Goal Keeper will visit Perth on June 23rd 08 to launch his new book, Scarfs and Sombreros. Football West and Football Australia will host Mark while he is here.

Mark will meet local school children at Gibbney reserve and join in a free clinic provided by Football West. At the clinic the children will be introduced to the FFA’s new small sided games initiative while trying tricks demonstrated by some local football talent.

During the evening Mark will visit Perth Soccer Club in West Perth to meet with local clubs and children, Mark will help with a demonstration of small sided games.

Children from some of the local clubs will demonstrate this new format and we will have some SSG ambassadors helping with a live explanation of what SSG is all about. Locals will have an opportunity to question the Socceroo and other guests on the evening and also get the opportunity to get their books signed by Mark.
