League leaders Sorrento lost for the first time this season going down 4-3 to Cockburn City at Dalmatinac Park, with a last minute strike from Johnny Mirco.

The visitors were ahead on five minutes through Todd Harnwell, but City was levelled two minutes later through Aaron dos Santos. The Cockburn youngster, Dos Santos, scored again too put the Cockerels in front on 36 minutes, Harnwell levelled thing up before half time. Mirco scored midway through the second half only for Danny Cain to equalise before Mirco popped up with the late winner. 

There was an eight goal thriller at Nash Field were Western Knights ran out 5-3 winners against Swan IC. The Knights were 2-0 up early though Rory Grant and Anthony Skorich, but the Swans hit back with goals from John Mansaray and 16-year-old Alex Cocking, to level things up at the break. The Knights took control early in the second half with Perth Glory trialist Skorich scoring from 25-yards, with other goals from Barry Devlin and Daniel Micevski, Brendan Knox scored a late consolation goal for the Swans. 


In other Saturday afternoon games ECU Joondalup moved to the top of the table with a 5-0 thrashing of Armadale at the ECU University Arena. On target for the home side was Ian McMurray from the penalty spot, Craig Simpson, Jon Higgins, Adam Taggart and an own goal. While Floreat Athena ran out 3-1 winners against Inglewood United at the E&D Litis stadium, with New Zealand import Brad Scott scoring a hat-trick, Michael Baczynski scored for the visitors..  


In Saturday's evening game Mandurah city came out 5-2 winners against Fremantle Spirit at the Hyundai Stadium. Phil O'Callaghan was the hero for Stuart Currie's side scoring a hat-trick. Mandurah's other goalscorers were Andy Brown and a Llewelyn Bake own goal. On target for Fremantle were Cisco Jorquiera and Raveshian Kuppusamy.

In Sunday's Football West 'Match of the Week' Perth SC ran out 3-0 winners against Stirling Lions. Second half goals from Andreas Oliviera 2  and  David Onoforo gave Graham Normanton's side all three points.
