With Southern Spirit and Hamersley Rovers in cup action, the leaders of the Loans Café Amateur Premier League Joondalup United continued their good start to the season when they beat Murdoch 3-1 at the Joondalup Arena.
The visitors were ahead on 11 minutes when Michael Jennings scored past John De Sousa. But the league leaders replied seven minutes later, through Nick Jennings, and Jonathan Doherty added a second on the half hour. The points were made safe for Joondalup in the 81st minute when Andrew Burrelli scored past Matthew Williams.

Fremantle United continued their winning way’s with a hard fought 1-0 victory against UWA at Hilton Park. It took a late goal from F. Rugel on 73 minutes to keep United close on the heels of Joondalup at the top of the table.

There was a nine goal thriller at the Kingsway Reserve, were visitors Spearwood Dalmatinac came from four goals down to eventually run out 5-4 winners. On target for the home side in the first half were Newhill, Andrew Rowlands 2 and an own goal, with Simon Henderson replying for the visitors before the break. It was a different story in the second half with goals from Richman, Petkovic, Rish and David Twentyman’s winner in the 86th minute. 

Meanwhile Shamrock Rovers picked up their first points of the season with a 3-1 win against Lynwood Colts at Harold Rossiter Reserve. On target for the home side were Steven Roche, James Bongiovanni, and Sean Brooks, with Shaun Murphy replying for the Colts.
