Leaders Wanneroo City beat South West Phoenix 2-1 at the Kingsway Sporting Complex, Brian Cairney scored from a penalty after 25 minutes. Cesar Meylan made it 2-0 half way through the second half with Phoenix's Gary Mayers scored in the 92nd minute with the last kick of the game.
Bayswater City made light work of visitors Rockingham City running out 5-1 winners at the Frank Drago Reserve. The home side opening the scoring in the 18th minute through Ryan Frisina, and they doubled it on the stroke of half time through Tony Cumace. The visitors were back in the game on 57 minutes when Ryan Stewart scored, but further goals from Frisna, Ahmed Hafez and Scott Campbell gave them the victory.
In other games third placed Canning City thrashed Forrestfield United 7-1 at the Burrendah Reserve. It was a day to forget for the visitors, but one to remember for City’s Paul Harvey scoring five times, the others were scored by Daniel Trevisiol and David Mickler. United’s consolation goal came from John Hunter.
Balcatta ran out 2-0 winners against Morley-Windmills at the Graham Burkett Reserve with goals from Andy O’Neil and Julian Piromalli, while Gosnells City won their first game of the season with a 2-1 victory away to Ashfield, Ian Maguire and Luke Woodard on target for City with Ibnen Charming replying for the home side.
Queens Park remains on the bottom of the table after suffering a 6-2 defeat at Dinaella White Eagles. On target for the home side was Matt Butler, with a hat-trick, Jon Greenwood, Gavin Oakes and Dimce Taneski. The scorers for Queens Park were Tom Cullen and Tyrone Woodfin.
