Wanneroo City maintained their 100% record in the Football West First Division with stunning second half display against Queens Park at Coker Park.

The Roos were ahead early when Meylan scored but the hosts hit back on 27 minutes through McKean from the spot and Karpen added a second two minutes before the break. The homes cause wasn’t helped when Navorra was sent off on the hour, and second half goals from R.Yates, 2, B.Yates, Cairney and Heretey gave Gerry McEwan’s side a comfortable 6-2 victory.

Bayswater City leap-frogged South West Phoenix after coming away from the Westral Stadium in Bunbury with a 4-0 victory.

It was a hard fought first half and the visitors had to wait until the 43rd minute for the opener, Hafze on target. Sutton made it 2-0 early in the second half, and two goals in five minutes late from second half substitute Hafze continued Michael Di Fulvio’s side’s unbeaten start to their campaign.

There was a goal feast at the Walter Padbury Reserve when Gosnells City scored late to draw 3-3 with Dianella White Eagles. Butler had given the visitors the lead on11 minutes, the home side hit back with goals from Claxton and Francis, but Moschopoulos scored late in the first half to make it 2-2 at the break. It looked like Vukmiravic had won it for the Eagles but Claxton popped up with second and the equalizer in the 80th minute.
 

In other games Canning City are up to fourth after coming away from Lark Hill with a 4-1 win against Rockingham City on Saturday evening. Howard had given the home side the lead in the 27th minute, but goals from Harvey 2, Allomes and an own goal gave Canning the points.

Morley Windmills ran out 3-1 winners against Ashfield at Wotton Reserve, Culverwell with two and Dundo were on target for Tom Kilkelly’s side, with Charminng scoring the consolation for Ashfield. 

Balcatta are up to fifth place after beating Forrestfield United 4-1 at Hartfield Park, O’Neill, Gaca, Moschilla and Piromalli were on target for the visitors while Melling scored for the home side.
