The Kelmscott Roos Football Club have recently opened it's doors to new and growing girls and women's teams - this is a first for all female participation teams at the club. The club is very excited about the female only teams and welcomes all girls from 5 years old upwards. The Department of Sport and Recreation has funded the Association for the Blind to implement a Goal Ball Program for people who are blind and vision impaired in WA.
We are seeking a person with a commitment to train as a Goal Ball coach and set-up a coaching Goal Ball program and competition structure with a pathway towards competing in Paralympics for young people with vision loss. The successful applicant will provide two weekly sessions (training and competition) with a minimum of six people per session and conduct a Schools Goal Ball Competition with at least three schools. The person will be required to support team players with vision loss in national and international games.

Last year's Five-A-Side Tournament was a huge success, with the profits from the event being donated to a local Victorian Football Club whose members lost their homes in the bushfire disaster.
In 2010, half of the profits will be going to the children's cancer charity CanTeen, who will also be entering a side in our social competition. Representatives from CanTeen will also be there to present awards to the winners. The remaining 50% goes to the Lynwood United Youth Development Fund, which we use to lessen the financial costs for U18's advancement into our senior sides.
The format this year will be as such:
Two competitions
Amateur - made up 10 Amateur teams (1st team/reserve players and regular five-a-side teams).
Social - made up of the 10 additional teams (vets, ladies, corporate and youth teams).
Each competition has two leagues of five teams. These teams play against each other once with the team at the bottom of the league being eliminated.
The tournament then switches to a knock-out comp with the two leagues playing against each other 1st v 4th, 2nd v 3rd.
The matches are 8 mins per half with a 2 min break. The competition will start at 10am and finish around 4:30pm
This is a licenced event, so alcohol and soft drinks will be sold, along with hot food. STRICTLY NO BYO ON ALCOHOL. The Club will also have some merchandise for sale, along with juniors' shorts and socks.

The team finished 2nd in 13DIV1 in 2009 and missed out on promotion to the 14s PREM because the WAIS GIRLS team enter the PREM league at this point. As a result we have lost a couple of players to PREM teams and are looking to bring in quality players to replace them. The key player we are looking for is a goal keeper. In 2010 the club is looking to field 2 Social and 2 Masters sides including teams in the Premier divisions of the respective leagues. The Saints have a very talented playing list and the spirit within the club is conducive to ongoing success.
The Saints are looking for suitably qualified coaches to take the club to the next level and are also interested to hear from players who wish to play their football at Tompkins Park in 2010. The Saints are a tight knit family club which has a big emphasis on social activities, however we also play to win on a Sunday afternoon.
