Football West is pleased to announce its foray into facility development, having recently entered in to an exciting new partnership with the Cambridge Bowling Club.

Collectively the Bowling Club and Football West will develop two new floodlit five-a-side pitches which will be available for clubs, schools and other sporting groups to hire and play five-a-side football and other football-related activities.

The facility will consist of one bowling green split in half to create two pitches. Each pitch will be surrounded by 1200mm high timber panels and three metre high netting, allowing the ball to rebound and continuous play to occur. In other words, the ball is never out of play. The surface is ‘bowling green' grass and studded shoes won't be permitted.

The new facility is available for public hire 7 days a week from 10am-9pm. FW encourages all participants of the sport to get along and view the facility which can cater for all groups including schools , community clubs and corporate days specials. Cambridge Bowling Club a fully licensed premises offering food and drinks selections throughout the day.

Football West is also pleased to announce that a 5-a-side football competition will commence at the Cambridge Bowling Club on Wednesday 18th April.

It will be played on grass pitches which are fully enclosed which allows a fast and nonstop game.

The competition is open to all comers and games will be played from 5.00pm to 9.00pm in games of 25min halves.

Due to the nonstop nature of the game, teams are encouraged to have a few reserves.

The cost per team is $50 per night.

The Cambridge Bowling Club is centrally located adjacent to and on the west side of the Floreat Forum with plenty of car parking.

There is a modern club room which includes full bar facilities.
