The 2012 Football West Night Series kicks off with a bang tomorrow evening with two venues hosting WA's best football talent.

This year's format for the annual pre-season competition will see 32 teams compete for the title of Night Series champions, including the new State League Division Two, and reigning MySolar Sunday Premier League champions Southern Spirit are also thrown into the mix.

Macedonia Park (Stirling) and BGC Stadium (Perth) will have all the Friday night action, before Saturday will see matches at Percy Doyle Reserve (Sorrento), Dalmatinac Park (Cockburn), Hartfield Park (Forrestfield) and E&D Litis Stadium (Floreat).

Matches at Alfred Skeet Reserve (Armadale) and Wotton Reserve (Morley) conclude the weekend's Round 1 action all over the metropolitan area as the State League returns for a new year.

2011 saw Floreat Athena stop Perth SC's run of pre-season domination and everybody will be out to get their season off to the best possible start.
